| News - Naturediet Delivers Quality Pet Food
The unveiling of Naturediet’s newly consolidated range of dog food has been met favourably by owners who currently use the brand, and has seen a huge increase in new customers.
Well known for its excellent range of all-natural, holistic pet food, Naturediet has now focused on seven core products to ensure customers can select a variety to suit their pet’s individual needs, from puppies to senior dogs and those with special requirements. Thanks to ongoing research and development the revised Naturediet range has been improved with the addition of essential Omega 3 fatty acids and is now available in a new Rabbit and Turkey variety, uniting healthy ingredients with a great taste that dogs love.
Until now, dogs’ diets have undergone little scrutiny. As humans, we have long since accepted that ‘we are what we eat’, so by the same token ‘our pets are what we feed them.’ With this principle at the core of the Naturediet range, each food variety provides absolutely no artificial additives, preservatives or colourings, just good, wholesome food.
Naturediet campaigns for clearer labelling and more natural ingredients for all pet food. Managing director Carol Wilcox believes that “Pet food science has advanced to induce pets to eat ingredients that they would never normally eat. Much commercial pet food contains flavour enhancers, colourings and preservatives. Many ingredients are subjected to torturously high temperatures and then ‘fortified’ with vitamins and minerals,” she explains. In addition, many Veterinary Surgeons now believe that poor quality or unnatural diets may be contributing to many of the new diseases affecting dogs today.
These contrived pet foods will always exist, but Naturediet is joining a call for clearer labelling on packaging, so that consumers can make an informed choice about what they are feeding their pets.
So what can owners do to ensure the food they feed their pets is of the highest quality? “First and foremost, they can read the ingredients on every packet, tin or bag they buy,” says Carol. “They should compare the ingredients listed and then make up their own minds. If the labelling is unclear ask the manufacturer to detail the ingredients and additives.”
Naturediet’s own range is completely transparent – it consists of real, wholesome food made with real, high quality, natural ingredients. Naturediet prides itself not only on the ingredients it uses throughout the range, but also on its clear labelling and honest advice. “We know that pet owners want the best for their animals, but without the correct information this can be difficult to achieve,” Carol concludes.
Commenting on the recent launch of the Campaign for Real Pet Food, Carol says: “We are pleased to be part of such an important campaign. It is well overdue and it will hopefully improve the health and lives of Britain’s pets and lead to more informative labelling of pet foods.”
