The table on the right provides a basic guide to the number of grams of Naturediet Puppy/Junior menu to feed from weaning to approximately six to eight months of age.

It should be born in mind that in the first six months of life puppies grow at an astonishing rate, a growth that we humans take up to 14 years to achieve.

This high growth rate requires a high calorie intake to enable the animal’s full growth potential to be achieved.

At peak growth rate this feed intake can equate to as much as twice the requirement of adult consumption. This should be split across at least 3 meals per day as their stomachs are small and only able to cope with small frequent meals.

Consider this as an investment. The higher the quality of nutrition at this stage, the better chance the puppy has of developing to its full potential.

As with all feeding, monitor the puppy’s weight gain and body condition and adjust the amount accordingly.
